Any one into Janis Joplin......and IAN
on Cultnet, I spoke of Buffy Saint Marie. She is an artist Ian regards highly.
I have her cd. This one song called Keeper of the Fire is SOOOO kick ass.
And it really reminds me of IANS persona on stage. for those that burn songs off the net should try and check it out.
Anyone into Janis Joplin will surely like it. And also for me, this REALLY expresses his persona---and maybe you might relate to it too.
just thought i'd share this.

Buffy Sainte-Marie
I ordered Up Where We Belong by Buffy Sainte-Marie recently. It contains reworkings of her best songs. I too was promted to order it because Ian likes
it.

I have The Best of Buffy Saint Marie...a 2 for one album. i listen to it all the time. some of the songs are a bit too folksy-country twangish-but
some are REALLY kick ass--look out for Keeper of the Fire, you'll see what i mean. She is an impressive talent for sure. i see why he appreciates
her.

I don't know her but sounds interesting. I love Janis Joplin!
BTW, have you heard 'new' Janis? Mean new version of her song?
