new info from Beggars Banquet.....
I left a message on their message board over a week ago asking about any news on the Lyceum dvd.
I just got an e-mail from them stating.....
'there are already 2 dvd's out there by the band and they are concentrating on over projects at the moment so The Cult have been bumped to the back of
the queue'
Dammit!!!
Fuck it all and fucking no regrets I hit the lights on these dark sets.

D'oh! - I just hit enter before typing in this message ... oh well, anyway:
I hate to say this but I really don't have alot of interest in the Lyceum show being put out on dvd. It's been re issued (several times) now already,
why issue it again?
first, the UK vinyl pressing and video in 1984, then,
the Canadian issue in 1984(5?), then
the Japanese issue around the same time, then
a Mexican issue was released around 1986, then
the video and cd re issue from 1996 ...
now dvd?
also the bootleg versions of it ... it is a good show but enough already!
:idea: release a different show that hasn't been seen so many times: maybe the Buenos Aries show from 1995, maybe a small club gig the band did when
they were first starting up (maybe even back when they were still "Death Cult"?) or how about a compilation dvd of some obscure television appearences
... anything, but don't keep re releasing the Lyceum show every few years ...

yeah i like the compilation idea. just take a bunch of shit that has never been released, throw it all in a big pile, and put it on a DVD or two,
however many it takes, and just start releasing like crazy. maybe throw in a bonus or two. something cool like that.
