Santana in San Diego
Well, I hate to admit it, after SEVERAL years of not seeing carlos...I will be going to the show on Sunday night...I have been on a long cult fix
(actually still on it) and havent seen Santana in years after not missing a show in seven years )including a 3 hour marathon, that became a massive
latin dance party).
The cult fix precluded me from going to see the band when they came to San Diego or buying any of the new stuff. Funny, because carlos hits commercial
success big time during the time period (the music is still played often, Smooth for example) and I went UNDERGROUND with the Cult. I still love
driving at the beach (my fav is Wind'N'Sea beach (in the Beach Boy song) more European thongs per square foot than any other SoCal beach...I conducted
the survey) Duffys riffs and Ians edgy lyrics turn heads.
Yes I did buy carlos new stuff eventually, but only after going to every cult show on the area and buying every scrap of stuff I could
afford...including a comming down vinyl single with that damn cool flip side version!!!
Anyway, going and will report,
Fire:flame:

Black Magic
I missed his open air concert of blazing guitar work & black magic a couple of months ago.
If it is anything like the live dvd with the same energy & fiery latin percussion then it should be a great concert.
