Doors / KISS Connection

This is getting sick!

TracerCode, a provider of independent, professional authentication services
to producers and manufacturers of memorabilia and collectibles, is offering
KISS fans a chance to have their photo taken with the entire band in full
costume and makeup and then get the picture autographed by the entire 2003
tour band.

This exclusive offer will only take place at the 24th National
Sports Collectors Convention on July 26th at the Atlantic City Convention Center, and is available
for $500.

In addition, TracerCode is offering fans an opportunity to have
their favorite piece of KISS memorabilia signed by all four bandmembers at
the same event.

The cost? A "measly" $350.

Haven't Gene $immon$ and Paul $tanley fleeced their fans enough already??? Endless "Farewell" tours, KI$$ coffins, KI$$ condoms, etc... They used to be about the rock-n-roll, man. But now they are just a bunch of money hungry clowns. KISS=KI$$ (Gene is funny when he's on the Howard Stern show, though)

Sexpanter,.,.

$orry I didn't make myself clear to you, sp3.

The Door$ $oaked their fans $250.00 / US for the opportunity to attend a few-minutes meet & greet at their concerts and to get an autograph.

They charged $75 - $100 for the opportunity to $ee / hear them play 30 year old $ongs.

Tix for the current KI$$ / Aero$mith tour are +$125.00 a pop.

(With me $o far?)

Cool. So,.,..,,.,

In an effort to go one $tep beyond, KI$$ i$ putting the press on it$ fan$ by charging $350 just for an autograph.

In common:

1.) Old money-grubbing men,., overwhelmed with self-importance,.,. draining money from loyal fans based on past accomplishments.

2.) Non-original members of the respective bands being put in a secondary position as "current" band members so that the "original members" can, once again, $potlight them$elves.

(Ace Frehley & Peter Criss are not involved,., there are 2 no-names wearing their make-up for KISS,.,. and,., in case you have not heard,., Ian Astbury is not Jim Morrison,., and Ty Dennis is not JDensmore)

I dunno,., somehow I'm still not sure you get it,.,. :(

Sorry Mad Man,

I think you are wrong on this one. Doors thing is way different than the Kiss thing.

Hey Fen...Simmons is very hip, did you see the wench he's been for years...Shannon Tweed...SSSSHHHAAAWWWIIINNNGGG, not to mention the OTHER exploits... hes a lucky twit

And the 30 year old music...its better than the puke coughed up today.

Capiche!

errr....Peter Criss is performing with KISS again,Eric Singer filled in for a number of Japanese shows but Peter played in Australia for the Symphony shows along with Tommy Thayer replacing Ace Frehley(which is bollocks cos there is only one Ace Frehley no matter how much the guy looks like him circa Alive!)
But the price of the tickets is scandalous I agree.
I saw KISS 3 times on the Reunion tour 1996-1997 and apart from Criss's drumming it was great.

Fuck it all and fucking no regrets I hit the lights on these dark sets.

Yeah, but at least the price of the Doors tickets is going down. The first time I saw them the price was $100/ticket and now
its $55/ticket.:)

I read an article on Gene Simmons and at least he admits he's a money hungry memorabilia machine.

$500 hundred bucks for a picture and signatures?

Whatever happened to the good old days of chasing the bus and hounding the stars for autographs.

Then Again,.,.,

KISS Announce New York City In-Store - July 19, 2003

KISS — Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Peter Criss, Tommy Thayer — will be doing a in-store in New York City on Wednesday, July 23 in conjunction with the Grand Opening of Best Buy's new 86th street store.

KISS will be appearing in full makeup and will be taking photographs with the fans. Pre-signed CDs will be available for sale. Fans will not be required to buy the CD to get a picture taken — they simply have to show up and be willing to stand in a long line!

Fans can start lining up at 8:00 a.m. for the in-store.

KISS will release "Kiss Symphony: Alive IV" on July 22 through Sanctuary Records. The live album was recorded in February at the Telstra Dome in Melbourne, Australia, with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, the Melbourne Chamber Orchestra, and the Australian Children's Choir. A DVD of the show will come out later this year.

KISS and AEROSMITH begin a coheadlining tour in Hartford, Connecticut, on August 2. SALIVA and the PORCH GHOULS are the opening acts for the shows.
