the a.a.r.p and the cult
ok folks lets face facts the chances of a cult come back are about as good as a milli vanilli come back, and if and when they decided to it would be
time to break out the walkers and viagra.
think about it, b.g & e was the strongest effort since sonic temple. the cult has shit for management, shit for p.r, and shit for advertising. the
live in l.a dvd was decent for the most part BUT ian has not delivered a decent vocal set since the cult rising tour in "99", when i saw him then he
was in top form and had hair instead of that retarded do rag. i saw them on b.g & e and the set was weak at best, he didnt sing he grunted and yelped
alot though, morrison missed the fucking opening line to sunking and the rest of the show wasnt a whole lot better.
stepping back to the sonic temple tour, i was right down front dead center(with that little shit lars from metalshita in fronta me) and ian lost his
voice and became hoarse after 2-3 songs. needless to say after sitting in the goddamn west palm beach arena and having the torture of hearing
dangerous toys and bonham i was ready to puke.
the cult are good at one thing if nothing else, self destructing. with that i say please dont come back and tarnish the legacy that is a couple really
kick ass albums and a few mediocore ones.
well i guess this doors crap and other bogus side projects not withstanding,,, at least they never did a duet with fucking run d.m.c.
we are all doomed to endless years of pain and suffering at the hands of the incredible stream of untalented, uninspired, uncreative fuckers that are
making music these days, so have fun and enjoy marilyn manson and stained and creed and the rest of the shallow end of the talent pool, cause face it
folks
ITS ALL ABOUT THE $$$$$$$$$$$.
stevie ray vaughn is dead ,,,,, cant we get justin timberlake in a helicopter?!?!?!?, think about it.:flame:

when kids ask me how does santa clause live forever, i tell them "it's because he drinks blood".
if life deals you lemons, why not go kill someone with the lemons(maybe by shoving them down his throat).
it's too bad that whole families have to be torn apart by something as simple as wild dogs.

there's a whole lotta sence here
but then if everyone here had the same point of view...we'd never have anything to fight about...
personally i AGREE...
what about you??
:flame:ON!!!
From Velvet night came forth our torch burns eternal,
For time is but a dream and our mischeif be infernal,
Black Angels watch over neglecting the living but not the undead,
Blessed are the hallowed and gracious for their blood shall keep us fed,
Hark the electric thunder drawn like moths to a flame,
To a place of wicked wonder...and Hollywood be thy name.

COOL! An invitation to disagree with Andie! (like I need an invitation )
Actually, since Andie agrees with the Wiz, and I'm still scratching my head at exactly what the point of the Wiz's rant was, I guess I can't really
say I agree or disagree. Then again, we pretty much know that the Wizard cares not whether we agree or disagree. Which is why some of us like him.
Anyway, on to my own thoughts.
I take offense at the walker and viagra crack (but dont worry, I'll get over it). Music is an art, and has nothing to do with age. It has everything
to do with personal expression. Whether that is the expression of love, or pain, or loss, or hate, or whatever, as they get older, true musicians
actually have more life experience on which to build their music. There's more and more to write about. Just as painters' and writers' work often
gets better with age and experience, musicians' work has the same capability. It's up to the individual performer whether they want to stay true to
themselves, and not be afraid to let their music mature along with them.
It bothers me that we complain that some artists are too old, and should hang it up simply because they've reached a particular milestone, or because
they may not be as attractive or photogenic as they used to be, and then we turn around and complain that we hate the young ones making music, because
they're putting out crap bubble-gum music with no soul, blah blah blah. What exactly does the music buying public really want? I can't speak for
anyone other than myself (as much as I'd like to sometimes) but personally, I dont care how old someone is, or how they look. It's the music that
matters.
If it's in the cards for the Cult to get together and give us some new music, then all I can ask is that it's as good as Beyond was. BG&E immediately
became one of my favorite albums. (Yes, I'm old and I still call them albums) I don't care if they're in their 40's, or their 60's. I care that the
music's good, and that's all.

I totally agree with Linda and Manuela...The Cult isn't even in my age demographic...I don't CARE what age they are. Somehow the way they relate their
music and words speaks to my soul and has gotten me through some difficult times. Ian is the voice of someone who knows what real pain, real
happiness, real sorrow, REAL emotions are. Linda and Manuela seem to get it too...thats why they both kick ass :D

OK, I don't care how old the Cult get, as long as the quality is there. And as for the Stones? well, all I can say is when the ramp up to the stage is
no longer for the equipment it's time to call it a day
