Cult vs. Aerosmith!
What is going on?
So i recently learned Diane Warren had penned the song Dont want to miss a thing sang by Aerosmith.
So wait, if that song was so popular and was nominated for 2 freaking grammies--why did Painted on my heart recieve no airplay or any kind of
attention? i am really confused. it was obviously the better freakin track--and should have made it on the radio at least on some damn level.
it seems that the industry has picked aerosmith to represent the so called rock world. what the fuck-? they make the most mainstream commercial cookie
cutter music-it is ok but really-it is not rock as we know and appreciate. it seems that is the only reason why their song got so much attention.

If Ian had wrapped the headband around his neck, gyrated his groin at the camera, and puckered up more...then maybe they would have won. 
Perhaps and Alicia whatshername jumping from a bridge with a bungee cord attached to her ankle, flipping' the bird to the world' might have helped
too.

Actually, Aerosmith was originally tapped to record Painted On My Heart but for some reason they were not available to do it, so it was given to The
Cult to do. I can't imagine Aerosmith doing Painted, even though I love them too, I just think our boys nailed it. I agree that it should have gotten
more airplay, not sure why it didn't, but I did speak to several DJs in town here who said they hated that it wasn't on their playlist.

yeah and Nicholas Cage is a huge Cult fan as well, another reason our guys did the song. he kinda begged to have them do it from what i heard

A so-called "alternative" radio station here in Ottawa said they'd NEVER play a song written by Diane Warren even if The Cult is doin it........and
they never did play it. The other rock stations played it fairly regularly though.
woke up this morning, my head felt like a warzone cause I drank a river last nite on route #66 to Zap City..................

Hey RAG , the simple reason here is : PROMOTION.
Aerosmith got it , The cult on the other hand ...
I'm not sure about how Ian and Billy face it, but they don't seem to be bothered by the glamour,sucess or awards too much (I thank God for it).

Cuz The Cult never kissed ass to me...or sold out like them, sorry aerofans. My opinion. I know ST was a bit of that but...it still had some good
songs. Aerosmith are just the media darlings now. But they lack heart and soul to me. They need to go back to their roots and be true to
themselves...not what the mainstream/media wants them to be. Not trying to piss of any fans of theirs but its how I see and so do many others.
