"you say it's urgent ... urgent ... emergency ..."

oddly enough, I have had this particular song stuck in my mind a few times before. A few nights ago I had the theme song from that old James Bond movie "The man with the Golden Gun" stuck in my mind - I finally just had to go through my videos until I found that one and watched it again ...

and I would rather have "Urgent" or the theme song from a James Bond movie stuck in my mind instead of something like "The Macarena" ...

The girl next door has been watching "Sweet Home Alabama" ALL WEEKEND LONG .. so I keep hearing the opening guitar riff and then the song itself ... ALL WEEKEND LONG! (Did I mention that I think she'd going deaf?! Can you say volume 200?!) Could be worse .. she could be listening to N'Stync or that Dirty Aguilara thing.

come on eileen oh i do blah blah blah! go figure on that one!

when kids ask me how does santa clause live forever, i tell them "it's because he drinks blood".

if life deals you lemons, why not go kill someone with the lemons(maybe by shoving them down his throat).

it's too bad that whole families have to be torn apart by something as simple as wild dogs.

India Arie's tune "Can I walk with you" has been bouncin' around my noggin for a couple of weeks.

I said "Elemental" and just then, it started to rain.

I heard that song in the grocery store today:)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Na na na na, na na na na, hey hey-ey, goodbye
He'll never love you, the way that I love you
'Cause if he did, no no, he wouldn't make you cry
He might be thrillin' baby but a-my love (my love, my love)
So dog-gone willin'
So kiss him (I wanna see you kiss him. Wanna see you kiss him)
Go on and kiss him goodbye, now
Na na na na, hey hey-ey, goodbye
Na na na na, na na na na, hey hey-ey, goodbye
Listen to me now
He's never near you to comfort and cheer you
When all those sad tears are fallin' baby from your eyes
He might be thrillin' baby but a-my love (my love, my love)
So dog-gone willin'
So kiss him (I wanna see you kiss him. I wanna see you kiss him)
Go on and kiss him goodbye, na-na na-na-na na na
Na na na na, hey hey-ey, goodbye
Hey hey-ey, goodbye
Na na na na, na na na na, hey hey-ey, goodbye
Na na na na, na na na na, hey hey-ey, goodbye
Na na na na, na na na na, hey hey-ey, goodbye
Appropriate song: my divorce should be final April 1st. Just dawned me, that's friggin April Fool's Day, hope it goes well
I hate going to the grocery store!!! No matter which one, they have to play some kind of soft rock crap and I always leave with a bad song in my head.
Lately that 'allstar' by smashmouth will not leave me alone! Even when I wake up in the morning it's in my head!
(Maybe it has something to do with them selling out and that song being on like 5 commercials now..) 8)
Marketing, gotta love it.
speaking of grocery stores, how about when you're at the store and you hear that pathetic washed up, hack, has - been Eric Clapton singing some depressing acoustic ballads about his dead son for the 4,000th time? (I'm sorry I know this sounds cruel, but my god man, he's been singing those ballads for 15 years - move on with you're life already ...) it's either that, or the stores play some crap like "Ambrosia" from the 1970's or some generic middle of the road pop/country "cross - over" like Faith Hell, or Shania Twit ...
Oh my GOD-i totally agree. its time for Clapton to move on-i have had it with Layla, the song about the woman who looks wonderful 2night...and tears in heaven will take us all to hell and back. its like chronic depression or something!
lets see...that Urgent song is SO annoying-...how about Celine Dions....remake and that Crowded House remake.
My mom listens to the oldies station so I am always up on the newest remake of the same old songs! POOR POOR me. :(
im stuck on the new one by Audioslave....the beat is a real ass shaker:moon: and the new one from Saliva is cool too. but what really sticks in my mind is "high time amplifier, high time amplifier, feelin good yeah......" very infectuous.....notta bad tune tho!
I wouldn't mind High Time Amplifier
But for today this just keeps playing
Look mummy
there's an airplane up in the sky
Did did did did you see
the frightened ones?
Did did did did you hear
the falling bombs?
Did did did did you ever wonder
why we had to run for shelter,
when the promise of a brave new world,
unfurled beneath a clear blue sky?
Did did did did did you see
the frightened ones?
Did did did did you hear
the falling bombs?
The flames are all long gone,
But the pain lingers on.
Goodbye, blue sky.
Goodbye, blue sky.
Goodbye.
Goodbye.
Gina, Gina, Gina, how dare you try and hide from me:( If I would have known this was your topic I would have been here long ago.
Let's see what song has been stuck in my head...
None that I can think of lately. They are all just passing fancies as of late. Nothing really sets in for sure although, I have had a bit of a pallete as of late for Hall and Oats why is beyond me, but I have.
To the Eric Clapton dessention, please check out a musical project called T.D.F. the album is titled Retail Therapy and it's Eric Clapton doing something other than sappy ballads. He is listed on the CD liner notes as X-Factor because of contract obligations and wears a motorcycle helmet. But for all of you whom think that Eric is a one trick pony pleases search this out and give it a listen. You will be surprised, probably shocked, and probably even more disgusted but I love it and think it's awesome.
