Priest, Trailer, Little Charlie, Slayer, Fire

Parenthood Demands Tough Love.

By Father JACQUES JOHNSON

It was nearly midnight when I received a call from a mother who asked me to come, as her six-year-old boy could not sleep because he was afraid of something.

I left the rectory and drove to the house and asked the mother what was going on with the boy. She said that she did not know, only that he was afraid of something and would not go to bed.

Charlie was curled in the fetal position on a chair, crying softly. I took the little boy in my arms, talked to him and prayed for him, asking God to remove the fear from his heart. After a little while Charlie felt more comfortable and soon he was himself again.

The mother then asked that I bless her trailer. I took holy water and went around the trailer, blessing every room.

After I was finished the father asked me if I had felt anything strange while I went around the different rooms. "As a matter of fact in the first room I felt something that caused a shiver down my back," I said. I wondered what it was.

So we all went into the room which belonged to a teenaged son. The ceiling and walls were covered with violent and repugnant "heavy metal" posters. Little Charlie came in with us and could not disguise his horror as he covered his eyes and started to whimper.

I told the parents that these were bordering the satanic and that Charlie's reaction was a confirmation that harbouring these could not be healthy for the family living there. "Just as holy pictures in our homes generate positive energies and blessings from God, so these violent unholy pictures produce the opposite," I said.

Christian parents need to discern what is good and life-giving for their family and what is destructive.
That's all the father needed to hear as immediately he went to work, ripping down the posters and burning them in a barrel outside. While he was busy at that, the older son came home. He was very upset that his room was being invaded and his pictures were being reduced to ashes.

The father would not hear his son protesting the destruction of the posters. Without a word he just kept ripping away and burning. Soon the house was cleared of them. The parents asked that I pray for them again. Then I went home.

Q.) Jesus or Lucifer?

or better yet.......

Q: WHAT THE FUCK???!!

if u ask me, thats a buncha crap. i dont conjure up negative energy, i try to help it rest and find peace. and yes i have LOOOOOOTS of heavy metal shit all over my crib (my dad loves my decor actually). and maybe the fact that i live in a very spiritually/paranormally active area has something to do with it, but i seriously doubt that PAPER will 'welcome evil spirts' - the kid had to have been doin saences (sp?) or sumthin for that shit to go on (trust me, i know). paranoia does that too (i dont even wanna get started on this part). but im done here b4 the bashin starts on my ass.

The little boy saw the death metal pics and got fright, that is normal.

Each to its own belief. If the room was pouring out negative vibes, maybe it was coming from the older son himself, from his angst, hatress for something, the posters and the desire to listen to death metal music and fill the room with this posters was just a reflex from that.

The only images in my room are of my family and one of my girlfriend. I do believe positive mindset attracts positive energies that float around, and that negative mindset would do the opposite.

JayRob, i fully agree with u. even i have colages of my friends next to Type O Negative. i may have a lot of metal stuff on my walls, but im one of the most positive people i know. not to say that all that is crap up there, but its just nuts! if the older kid was an antisocialite and kept his door closed all the time, then yeah, i can understand the little ones' bein scared. but if the brother interacted with him and his family, it would be different by far. my parents didnt freak out when i went out and bought a new poster or a new cd - hell my mom would gimme more tacks to put it on my wall with. she even helped me take all my stuff down, and talked to me about all of it. now back to this other kid, yeah i can totally understand the 'rents wiggin out and gettin upset. the kid prolly did witchcraft or black magic in his room or sumthin, but posters wont bring about 'evil spirits'. but burnin his stuff? i think its a bit much. then again this prolly wasnt a happy family to begin with, but thats just me...............

Lucifer.
He don't try to stop you having a good time.
Religion is a touchy subject for most people.
Being a lapsed christian I have witnessed the insane babblings of people who are supposedly 'believers',only to see them as the most judgemental of all people(judge not unless thee be judged yourself,INDEED).
It's all hypocritical.
There is good and evil in every one,but it doesn't mean you are evil because you live, listen or do things other people don't.
I listen to alot of Heavy Metal and I have never done anything that I consider evil or hurtful to anyone else(except for maybe playing it too loud and annoying someone :P)
Ahh well,Just my 2 cents worth on the matter....
Ohh look...it's sunday too and I am listening to heavy metal,
May I Burn Forever in Hell's damnation.
Arse!

 man, gotta love ya Darren, gotta love ya  and yet again, i totally agree here. my mom is so called 'christian' and her husband (the both of em actually) tried to cram that bullshit down my throat from the moment we moved till the moment i moved out - which was 6 1/2 years. THEY are prolly the reason why im so disgisted with the whole religion in the first place. but i do have some respect for it yes, only bc some of my friends believe in that stuff. yeah, ur right Darren, Lucifer dont try to stop u havin a good time, but he sucks at poker.:P

So she called a priest? What mother calls a priest?

Charlie was curled in the fetal position on a chair, crying softly. I took the little boy in my arms, talked to him and prayed for him, asking God to remove the fear from his heart. After a little while Charlie felt more comfortable and soon he was himself again.

Like it or not, I think "trailer" is the key word here.

After I was finished the father asked me if I had felt anything strange while I went around the different rooms. "As a matter of fact in the first room I felt something that caused a shiver down my back," I said. I wondered what it was.

see next one...

So we all went into the room which belonged to a teenaged son. The ceiling and walls were covered with violent and repugnant "heavy metal" posters. Little Charlie came in with us and could not disguise his horror as he covered his eyes and started to whimper.

And "pops" counldn't see that for himself.

I told the parents that these were bordering the satanic and that Charlie's reaction was a confirmation that harbouring these could not be healthy for the family living there. "Just as holy pictures in our homes generate positive energies and blessings from God, so these violent unholy pictures produce the opposite," I said.

"Oh yes father, thank you for telling us what is truly wrong with our family".

Christian parents need to discern what is good and life-giving for their family and what is destructive.

But the son should be happy. Because now they have more room to put up little crosses with "Hey-Suess" on them (images of death) and pictures (white Hey-Suess -- more lies). Some may even have the crown of thorns with blood running down his face.

The father would not hear his son protesting the destruction of the posters. Without a word he just kept ripping away and burning. Soon the house was cleared of them. The parents asked that I pray for them again. Then I went home.

Q.) Jesus or Lucifer?

A.) One in the same.
