What CD in your collection would ruin your street credibility?

This is a question that they asked Rob Zombie on the Craig Cilbourne show...I can't recall Rob's answer... But anyway, I'll go first! I guess it would have to be anything by ABBA or Dead or Alive! Not the most manley tunes ever written, but dammit, they are catchey as hell! Who's next? Its O.K.! You are among friends here!

Darren, do you think I might be able to top your Level 42 with my Bon Jovi "New Jersey" or maybe Madonna "Like a Prayer"? I also have Springsteen "Born to Run", and The Eagles Greatest Hits 1971-1975. Do I get extra points for actually owning them all simultaneously? Not that there's anything wrong with those discs - they each have something that I like, or I wouldn't let them take up space in my collection - it's just that I don't usually brag about owning them.......um, until now that is

I got everything from Big Country to Texas(first album only) as well as Then Jerico and a few other's who I forget...oh yeah Midge Ure,he used to be in Ultravox...8):puzzled::flame:

Prince and Digital Underground are not to be ashamed of. Fuck Prince is god in my book.

I have nothing I am ashamed of because, it's all music and music is worth listening too. Or perhaps I just don't have tunes that I'm embarrased about owning such as New Kids On The Block (my wife loves them though) or any other trite boy band stuff. I simply only listen to the good stuff I guess. When I think of my CD collection I can't think of anything that doesn't belong. Hum...

My first concert was Duran Duran, i was a big dork in junior high.
I've been to a Spice Girl concert (minus Ginger, she was the best one out of all them) N~Stink, and Mandy Moore, and I went to these shows for the love of my daughter, but the scary thing is I knew all the lyrics and was dancing along:puzzled::o

i had a slight affinity to some of these so called bands from the 80's, but even back then i wanted more! i wanted balls, big fat gotta carry them in a barrel balls to my bands, it was not to be found on the surface! i got tapes from the "underground", i had metallica before anyone outside san fran knew there name, i had mega stuff that most people havent even heard of but should have, celtic frost,crumbsuckers, s.o.d.... shit like that, that is how i spent my youth, drunk, stoned and raging pissed at shows.

now im a slightly responsible dad of 33 years age, and i take my kid to school, and pick her up and she sometimes requests SLAYER!!! go figure, apple dont fall far! my kid rocks, and will kick the shit outta any boy that fucks with her!

so to the bands of the 80's i say:

R.I.P

it was fun while it lasted dudes but we really dont need pyrotechnics in clubs, go fade away gracefully!

and billy squier looked so goddammn gay in that video its no wonder his shelf life was done,, not to mention the fact that he was a total zepplin rip off!! wake up and smell the hazel nut cream!

Abba? Night Ranger? Billy Squier? People! These are nothing to be ashamed of! One's taste in music should be well-rounded and proudly exhibited! I also have George Michael, Trixter, Mr. Big, Pure Prairie League, Sade, Bon Jovi, Skid Row, need I go on? Each cd has a time and a place though, and a mood...you can't just put Abba on any old time you know. I have to feel like a Dancin Queen first. :P
