NEW Game!!! Name that Movie!

Fender-Man - 4-14-2003 at 11:21 PM

Here are the simple rules: Post some dialogue from one of your fav movies, then the 1st person to correctly guess the flick gets to go next! Ready? Here we go:
Character #1-"Are you a photographer ?"
Character #2-"No, I'm a combat correspondant."
Character #1-"Well've ya seen much combat?"
Character #2-"I've seen a little...on t.v."
Character #1-"You're a real comedian."
Character #2-"Well, they call me the Joker."
Character #1-"Well I've got a joke for you...I'm gonna tear ya a new asshole!"
Character #2-"Well Pilgrim, only after ya eat the peanuts outta my shit!"
Character #1-"You talk the talk...Do you walk the walk?"

....I love this movie!

Full Metal Jacket

CultinMD - 4-15-2003 at 07:56 AM

Here's one:

Character 1: I want to be a woman. From now on, I want you all to call me 'Loretta'.
Character 2: What?!
Character 1: It's my right as a man.
Character 3: Well, why do you want to be Loretta, Stan?
Character 1: I want to have babies.
Character 2: You want to have babies?!
Character 1: It's every man's right to have babies if he wants them.
Character 2: But... you can't have babies.
Character 1: Don't you oppress me.
Character 2: I'm not oppressing you, Stan. You haven't got a womb! Where's the foetus going to gestate?! You going to keep it in a box?!
Character 3: Here! I-- I've got an idea. Suppose you agree that he can't actually have babies, not having a womb, which is nobody's fault, not even the Romans', but that he can have the right to Character 4: Good idea, Judith. We shall fight the oppressors for your right to have babies, brother. Sister. Sorry.
Character 2: What's the point?
Character 4: What?
Character 2: What's the point of fighting for his right to have babies when he can't have babies?!
Character 4: It is symbolic of our struggle against oppression.
Character 2: Symbolic of his struggle against reality.

1: Have you ever been through Cathedral? They're like beasts. Wild.

2: Maybe they're angry because they're grown in meccano-breeders.

1: Instead of what? Nine months inside a
woman: (ugh) We're all raised the same but most of us don't become cubs in Cathedral.

2: Some people say children need human mothering.

1: Insane. Nurseries are better than any mother could be.

2: I'm only telling you what I've heard...
(slightest beat) Haven't you ever wondered what your seed-mother was Like...?

1: Uh-uh.

2: I have.

1: When did you begin to question Lastday?

2: I don't remember exactly...except I was a Green.

This one's a classic!

sexualpanther3 - 4-27-2003 at 12:21 PM

oh how that was such a horrible movie !!!

bad bad bad!!!

no redeeming quality or value to it whatsoever! granted, AC/DC is on the soundtrack, but you can buy their albums to hear them, not watch this god awful flick. But I guess if you like annoying toilet bowl humour, nonsensical scenes of trucks running over people, bad jokes, lousy effects (the image of the earth shown at the beginning of the movie is shown BACKWARDS !!! - they've reversed the photo of the earth and no one noticed?!?) then yeah, I guess this would be the movie for you then, all others steer clear ...

:moon: :moon: :moon:

Homer - 4-29-2003 at 09:10 AM

... and "Maximum Overdrive" was released in 1986 not in '87 ...

taokow - 4-29-2003 at 01:28 PM

I agree Homer, what a steaming pile Max Overdrive was. I never liked it, even when it came out. The one thing I always thought about Steven King adaptations was how bad they always end up on screen (with the exceptions of Shawshank redemption and The Green Mile and The Shining.) I think it was always a bad director that got into the mix, and low budgets. I was also really disappointed with what they did cinematographically with King's masterpiece "The Stand" ... bad casting, cheap production quality. Rob Lowe as a Deaf Mute was however genius, it's hilarious!

JayRoberto - 4-29-2003 at 03:54 PM

I kinda liked "The red House" !

JRoberto

sexualpanther3 - 4-29-2003 at 05:58 PM

yeah u got the right moovy. i thought it was a cool moovy just bc of the soundtrack and all the trucks - im a truck woman, mind u. yeah it did suck bad, but oh well. it was Kings first attempt at directing, so go figure.

Libertine - 4-29-2003 at 08:13 PM

I have that movie.
"we made you! we made you!"

"Thinner", "Graveyard Shift", "Children of the Corn" series ... all of them ca ca ...

[Edited on 4-30-2003 by Homer]

sexualpanther3 - 4-30-2003 at 04:56 PM
