I've followed edcults suggestion (doubt others will).
OK, for all of you who claim they want peace, I say you support Saddam, you Saddam Sluts!

But isn't the USA supposedly fighting for peace? So you're saying that Bush is on Saddam's side??Libertine - 3-28-2003 at 08:29 AM
That is the stupidest statement SonicFire.
I'd roll my eyes at you an engage in a debate over the real issues but it just isn't worth the effort because when you start losing you resort to
petty name calling.
Besides, my sparring partner WHS isn't here and that takes all the fun out of it.
"and the sign says anybody caught trespassing will be shot on sight"
Nice try poofter!

'Sidewinder', nice attempt to play with words.
You support Saddam with such games.
SHAME ON YOU.
You have innocent blood on your hands!Sidewinder 42 - 3-28-2003 at 08:41 AM

Nice of you to judge me on the basis of a satirical point of perception.Sidewinder 42 - 3-28-2003 at 08:56 AM

Oh, and as an addition, first of all, you call me a poofter as if that should be an insult, yet many people are gay and proud of it, so it is really
not much of an insult.
Secondly, the world isn't so black and white as you may think. Sure, I don't support the war, or any warmongers in this world, which means I can't
POSSIBLY be on Saddam's "side" as you put it, seeing as he enjoys war as much as the next power-mad government.
I didn't pull a trigger, and I didn't vote for the government in power that has decided to send our troops into war, so I doubt that you can consider
"innocent blood" to be on my hands.
You throw around high emotional-impact statements without checking facts or the background from which (in normal circumstances) they should stem.
It wasn't an "attempt" to play with words, it was a satirical view and a varying slant on a statement. In a world of opinions, you really must learn
to accept that other people will have ones which vary from your own, yet will not always be at the opposite poles to what you consider right.
In Buddhism, it is wrong to kill the smallest insect, regardless of what it does to your garden. In common western society, it is acceptable to poison
them. Think about it.
You support Saddam if you do not support the WAR!
SonicFire - 3-28-2003 at 09:07 AM
'Libertine', just because (prior to the start of this war) there was no war, did not mean there was PEACE.
Unless, of course, you fight for PEACE that means, genocide, murder, rape, torture and every human degradation on the globe.
You are either with US or against us.
Who are you with?
Liberation or Saddam.
If you do not think it is that simple, you have alot of growing up to do. Peace 'protests' are useless. If you want REAL PEACE, feed the hungry, save
the persecuted, free the enslaved.
True WARRIORS always fight for PEACE.
They pick up a gun and KILL the murderers!
Peace 'protesters' give aide and comfort to the guilty.
Most 'protesters' are there for the party. SHAME on them! SHAME ON THEM for wasting their lives!!!
God bless the WARRIORS!Libertine - 3-29-2003 at 03:42 PM
You know SF..I don't think anyone has ever disputed the fact that Saddam is a brutal, heartless killer and that he needs to be removed, but dropping
bombs on the cities and killing the people to 'liberate' them is not going to bring you, me or any other person in the world, peace.
The families of the civilians that are dying are not 'praising' bush for his efforts to save them from the nasty saddam. They are cursing him..The
exiles who left Iraq are coming back because they will not, cannot..allow the slaughter of the people, their families.
The Muslim community see's the attack on Iraq as an attack on their faith. All around the world the rallying cry of "burn bush" is heard...you
president could have possibly made the worst mistake in 50 years. And to add insult, the war has made a hero of Saddam. Go figure?
And now we have rummy threatening Syria, Iran..and just where exactly has the 'illustrious leader' Kim been for the last 44 days?
Meanwhile back in Zimbabwe the killing continues, starvation stalks the people.. and mugabe speaks of how he wants to be the next Hitler himself..
Turkish troops are now in Iraq, and we all know how well they get along with the Kurds..how many revenge killings do you think we shall see...how many
hung from the power poles?
This war was never about liberating the people of Iraq..it has always been about ousting saddam..the imminent (spare me) threat to United States. When
the administarion felt the people were not going to buy that reasoning for a war they called in the spin and played on the emotions of the people in
America. All the while they were saying "free the people" they were arresting and fining agencies that had the gall to bring medicine to Iraqi
hospitals.
The Iraqis you saw on the news were frantic for the food that came..and water water water..they kept asking for water..because they get their water
from a truck that hasn't been able to get to them in ten days. The news crews there to excaberate their humilation..Yes they want to be free..and they
want to choose their own destinies, not have it forced apon them.
I have wondered over the last few months, if food had been brought into the country, and the people now with healthy bodies moved up the next step in
the pyramid..would they, could they have made the attempt to bring Saddam down themselves?

Maybe.
SonicFire - 3-29-2003 at 06:15 PM
The answer is maybe.
Lets pray the good ones get out of Baghdad now. Because we are going to level it. The choice Saddam is presenting us is clear. Either life for our
troops or his people.
Pray the innocent flee. Death comes on Black wings.
