My mom and I were going through their attic last week and we found all of our old concert memorabilia, which we were alarmed to find stuffed in the
attic. There are tons of things I can tell you about later, not much to report on about the Cult, except that I found boxes of old magazines in
pristine condition.
I have a Kerrang (No. 76, September 6-19 1984). Page 9 is a full-page black and white ad for "The Cult's Debut Album dreamtime". The ad
reads:
INCLUDES go west AND spiritwalker
INITIAL COPIES INCLUDE A LIMITED EDITION free album dreamtime live at the lyceum
BOTH ALBUMS AVAILABLE ON THE DOUBLE PLAY CASSETTES BEGC 57
ALSO ON VIDEOCASSETTE live at the lyceum BB001
There are no pictures of them, just a picture of the album. I would scan and post it but my scanner is disconnected right now. I have yet to go
through all the magazines I found...there are so many! The posters aren't even pulled out! I will post more later to report my findings.

Very interesting indeed. Let us know what all you have there. I'd love to come across some stuff like that. How cool. Is all this stuff yours? Rain - 6-29-2003 at 10:06 PM
Well, it's my family's collection, but they have no objection to me doing something better with it. We're all a bunch of metal heads. My mom used to
camp out for tickets (remember those days?) and every time we would have front row seats to the best shows. She always took us to concerts. She would
still go but no one ever comes anymore.
We also have a collection of picks and drumsticks (thrown and handed to us from the stage) and signed stuff, and backstage passes...and I'm happy to
report that nothing illegal or sexual was ever done to get back there. :P I can give a list later.
I've been sick this whole week so I haven't been over there yet to continue my searching, but I intend to next weekend.
I thought more people would be interested, but you are the only one to reply so far! Thanks for your post and I will keep this updated!Fire Woman - 6-30-2003 at 11:53 AM
I think your find is pretty damn cool. I'd love to know what all is up there. You sound like you have a cool mom too. Hell, I'd go to shows with
her! Do you intend on keeping all this stuff? So your mom is Cult fan right? What else, other bands, is there? I'm a bit nosey sorry. I'd just
love to come up there and look...it would be just like Christmas...for the rock fan. :flip:Sistermoon - 7-2-2003 at 06:29 AM

Hey guys...
Just wanted to let you know that I am going over to visit tomorrow and I will try to get my hands on some more stuff while I'm there.
I can tell you that for starters, there are shirts from concerts all the way back to Rick Springfield and they range all the way from him to WASP.
Most of them are the old ringer shirts too, so that's pretty cool. My sister is a huge Def Leopard fan (mostly old stuff) and has uncountable pics and
interviews she put into those photo books with the magnetic pages, so they are still like new. Her X husband was a very anal man so every magazine up
there that was his (that he forgot to get when they split up) is in spotless condition. I'm going to fish out as much as I can and then comes the fun
part, looking through them all. :D
I will keep you posted on what I find as I find it! Fire Woman - 7-3-2003 at 01:31 PM
OMG, Rick Springfield? That does go way back....lotsa cool stuff though from the sound of it. Thanks for keeping us in the know. :DCultpjfan - 7-3-2003 at 03:55 PM
Bizarre to see that Dreamtime was advertised in Kerrang!
At the time The Cult wasn't known for their metal-leanings.
More of an indie-rock band at that time compared to the direction they took.
Good to hear that you found this stuff.
It's good to hear about it.
Cheers.
